Oh, Sod It! Whatever happened to OSS and other stuff.

I've given up waiting for my daughter to load and send the pics that I took with her digital camera (long drawn-out explanation on why I can't do that) for my next post and I realize it's been some time since I've last posted that I'm going to go ahead without them and insert them later.....

As many of you know I endured Operation Swimsuit which my goal was to be able to "fit" in a swimsuit and reduce those "problem areas". I think I even promised to post the resulting suit (but NOT with me in said suit).

RESULTS after 8+weeks:
Weight 128 (loss of 2 pound)
Fat % 21.5 (loss of 1.5%)

This is a little disappointing, but entirely expected as I really didn't crank up the exercise as much as I would have liked, but more importantly I kept eating a lot of crapola. I'm afraid I am continuing to eat much more crapola and I'm sure that if I stepped on the scale now, it would not be very kind to me.

So without further ado...here's a pic of my suit.

INSERT CUTE, BUT SLIGHTLY MODEST PIC OF 2 PIECE

(
yeah, I do realize you have to put a little imagination into this)

In knitting news (runners can skip this bit of you want). I am nearly done with a pair of socks that I am knitting for my mom for her birthday. She always tells me she wants socks for her birthday (I don't know why), so I'm knitting her a pair. She knows I knit, but I am sure she has no idea I can knit socks.

So here's a pic (imagination hats on please):

INSERT CUTE, SLIGHTLY UNFINISHED, STRIPED SOCKS

I'm completing a Grace Kelly Scarf
that I'm giving to my daughter's counselor who is moving to Colorado to teach Buddhist meditation retreats full-time, and here's that pic:

INSERT ELEGANT, UNFINISHED SCARF

The point of this one is that my daughter and I were going to take turns knitting it since it's a simple garter stitch. Well, that hasn't happened. I hope she will work on it a bit today and tomorrow so at least we can say that. I'm using this neat Rayon/Metallic yarn from Blue Heron Yarns. I would've preferred to go with a natural fiber but it's what my daughter picked out and I'm glad she did, since I love the way it drapes.

Well...time for a run and then some public knitting.

Have a nice week.
