I Hate Running

Sometimes I really hate running. I was supposed to run 7 miles yesterday and barely did 5 and most of that distance I walked. It was just NOT happening. I even found a new scenic place to run.
I just didn't want to do it. It didn't feel good to be out there (although I really didn't have any physical complaints) and I couldn't make myself think otherwise.

It just sucked.

I think I just needed a mental health day away from running. Maybe I should make every DST change day a running holiday.

I hope I get my mojo back.

A couple of rest days might do you good - sleep in, relax, take a break. You'll get your mojo back before you know it.

We ALL have those days! Sometimes we have the more bad ones in a row before we are given a good day! Rest up and it should be better the next time you're out there!

I hope the mojo gets back soon. Cheesecake often works for me to help with my mojo recovery program.

Bad runs make you appreciate the good ones... moving on! At least that's my philosophy! :o)

Only natural to have down days. Keep at it, I'm sure you'll be that much more motivated next time out!

Don't worry! It'll come back! We all have days like that. Just allow yourself a few days of guilt free rest and you'll feel much better.

I agree with teacherwoman: We all have those days. I know from word-of-mouth that there are superstar runners out there who on some days can't even manage a decent 3 miles at a slow pace.

I would also point out that there is no shame in run/walking. On my slow days I like to run in half mile intervals, walking in between. It's great for days when "running sucks."

Good luck!
